This cat is one of character from My neighbor Totoro. It is an invisible buscat which can fly. I really like that movie, simple story but great imagination. I make two for my 1st n 2nd

The idea is from care bear, but vice versa, as my sons do not really like coloured rice. Fried chicken and fried enoki are my sons' favourite food . Above bentos are for my first and second , below is for the youngest one.

Today bento has been asked by my sons many times, but I don't feel like making it. However, since My son has been asking it, I managed to make these bird in simple form. No Fancy cooking, I just make fried noodle and fried spam with broccoli, hope you enjoy..

Carrie the ghost from "The Amazing world of Gumball" #bento 16

Lately my sons like to watch cartoon tv series "the amazing world of Gumbal". It is a story of blue bunny with his family and friends at school. One of his friends is the ghost name Carrie.

And it is still in Halloween theme so I choose this ghost. Hope you like it ^.^

Adventure Time Bento * bento # 11

It's been a while since my last bento, get stuck .. without idea. But then I noticed that my sons love these cartoon character. .. here they are. The title of its series is Adventure Time, with these two main characters. A boy named Fin (the white rice ) and his dog named Jake (the brown rice). 

Fin's face is made of rice which I mixed with tomato ketchup and  nori as detail. Jake is made of rice mixed with sweet soy sauce, and nori, cheese, egg sheet as detail.

I hope that I can make another characters from that series

Today's lunch box is an easy panda. just make it round and add the detail.

The Bear made off egg sheet with sweet soy sauce. The little bear I made from cheese.

From Snoopy with love * bento # 8

 

I decide to make another Snoopy bento. See carrot that heart shaped, well me n my second son cut it a day before. When he went home after school, he asked me about the carrot. He made sure that it were cut by him yesterday.  He looked proud when I said yes ^-^

I found bento blog  made snoopy in various way.  So I decide to make snoopy bento and turn out lovely. Thakyou, really inspired blog.

Inside the box:

Snoopy made of white rice with nori n kani for detail, Charlie brown made of rice mix with sweet soy sauce with egg sheet and nori for detail. woodstock made of half boiled egg with nori for detail

Stir fry veggie, fried potato, minced shrimp and pork (hekeng) 

Below also another snoopy bento inspired from the same blog. It is not easy to make nori for their faces. However it turn out ok.. he..he..

Cat and Bunny bento  bento#6

 

Very simple bento today for the boys. Not much detail on the character. Just adding detail for hard boil egg for the sun in the middle.

Snoopy bento  bento # 5

This time I use Snoopy molding for today bento and use nori for the detail. Just simple bento. I hope my son will like it. I forget the name of snoopy"s friend. I Google it and find its name is woodstock. Looking funny creature, I guess it was a bird.

I just remember that I knew Snoopy when I was 7 years old. My sister brought home a Snoopy comic book. At that time I can't not read it as the comic book was in English. However I remembered that  Snoopy comic book not much word so I quite enjoyed that comic.

Well I hope my son will enjoy his bento as much as I enjoy making  it

Baby Pluto  bento #4

Today's  bento I make one of Disney characters. I choose Pluto for this bento. I make for my little one is chocolate sandwich with Pluto deco and his favorite snack. I also put mickey's head from egg sheet. O ya, that Pluto's head is also from egg sheet and cheese with nori as detail.

 

For my other boys, Pluto is made of rice mix with cooked egg yolk.

inside the box:

Stir fry carrot with crab imitation, fried shrimp ball.

See that little mickey's head that I make from rice, I use my new bento tool, It is very easy to make small ball using it..^-^

Happy Easter  bento #3

Easter is fun time when I was at Sunday school. Many competitions were held such as : decorated egg, running with biting spoon which had marble on it, eating krupuk, tug of war etc. However the most fun part was looked for the hidden eggs. Sadly I only got one or 2 eggs tops. Well, what can I say, I was not thorough enough.
Well that that's not gonna happen in bento that I made for my sons. Hihihi..... At least the boys will be happy because they got four^=^

 

inside the box: stir fry veggie, fried potato slice thinly, fried spam coated sweet soy n tomato ketchup, flower egg sheet and color quail egg inside deep fried noodle

As for the smile boy , I mix tomato ketchup with rice for the face and egg sheet for the hair.

Dog bento  bento #2

 

This bento also inspired by Japanese blog (sorry forgot which one). My son really love dogs, actually want to have one as pet. However, I don' t really like having pet in house. So, walla, there is a dog in his lunchbox with funny face :)

Inside the box: stir fry broccoli, fried chicken. 

See at dog's hand, I use crab imitation roll in egg sheet with small amount lettuce for decoration
